Winter Wonderland

Shai and I originally planned on visiting a this local banya called Sanduni, but found it out of our price range (3000-6000 rubles or $100-200) and found out that it wasn't co-ed. For our optimum safety, we decided to wander, and to our delight, it started snowing!!

And found more Christmas! (We did a little research and found out that Christmas starts around December 24th and just continues through to January 7th. So if you love all things Christmas, like Shai does, you should plan on being in Moscow around the beginning of January.)

Punk Love!!

You can't tell here in the picture, but not only are these great penguins, they were done with plaster and glitter. That's right friends: sparkle penguins!

For dinner we trekked out to an old chocolate factory that has been repurposed into restaurants, bars and clubs. Or so we were told/read. We got there and couldn't figure out how to get inside, another result of language barrier. It is also possible that things weren't open yet since we eat dinner early and don't do the party thing. Even though we were confused the trek there was reason enough.

We had to take this bridge across the river that started at this huge beautiful church. The view of  Moscow's city center was breath taking.
